Community Yard Sale

On April 27, 2013 we held a community yard sale. The Homeowners' Association paid for the advertising by placing ads in the Pensacola News Journal. Additionally, thanks to one of our quick thinking residents, an announcement of the sale was posted on Craig's List. The public's response was amazing. We had a steady stream of eager buyers coming into Southbay starting around 6 a.m. and continuing until around 11 a.m. Unfortunately, only 12 residents took advantage of the opportunity and put out items for sale. That is roughly 6% of our residents. Surely we can do better than that. The Board is considering another event sometime in mid-October. We sincerely hope we will get more participation. Look for announcements on the next sale to come out in mid-September.
