COMMUNITY YARD SALE

Start gathering your stuff and pass the word: Southbay will have a yard sale Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 7:00 to 1:00, rain or shine, wind or drought. Residents will be responsible for their own set-up and take-down. There will be a three-day ad in the Pensacola News Journal. Our community yard sale yesterday, April 27th, went well. We had a total of 12 residences participating in the event. While the number of participants was somewhat disappointing the overwhelming public interest in the sale was visible and apparent. The Association Board paid for the advertising in the Pensacola News Journal. All the participants had to do was to display their items and rake in the cash! We did receive additional advertising from one of our residents. Our thanks to resident Gina Hartigan for taking the initiative and advertising the event on Craigs List. Non-participating residents missed a great opportunity to dispose of their "once loved but now un-needed" items. Will we have another yard sale event in the near future? Perhaps in the fall after all the summer madness has abated. Stay tuned!
